jverbal and I played a few games tonight. I don’t really know the rules, but this was a pretty good introduction. The bulk of what I know of backgammon comes from snippets of James Bond movies. The rest of what I know is folklore and hearsay:
It seems a really fun game, and strategies exist to be explored. Not as intuitive as chess, I’d venture. But still… fun and challenging. I’d like to be able to get the hang of this, and play with some degree of competency.
