About two weeks ago, I saw a few PBS commercials that made me giddy with laughter. Fallon, along with Alfonso Cuaron and Fran?Åois Girard, made some great promotional spots for them. Their "Be More" campaign has, in my book, been immensely succesful so far.
My favorite is Naked, but they’re all really good. Photo booth, from their earlier "Stay Curious" campaign, is just too fucking hysterical. Good, good stuff. View them all here.
Sidenote 1: I’m not sure which ones Alfonso Cuaron and Fran?Åois Girard directed (and whether they made the films on Fallon’s site). The "Naked" promo that I saw had an alternate ending, where an old gardener was the one who informed the emperor he was wearnig no clothes.
Sidenote 2: Fran?Åois Girard made Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould. Great movie! I think this film may genuinely bore some people to tears, but I found it fascinating and it’s one of my favorites.
