There’s a Little Bobby Fischer in All of Us

Walking home, I ran into one of the guys that work at Sam’s Liquor’s. He was just standing outside, smoking a cigarette. I think his name is Scott – I’m not sure. I’m going to call him Scott here, until I find out otherwise.

Anyhow, I saw Scott playing chess with someone else that worked there, and we talked about chess for a while. I mentioned that I had an old CD-ROM version of Battle Chess, and offered it to him. When I saw him tonight, he asked about that game again and offered to buy it off of me.

I went back home, dug through a box, found the CD and walked back to the store. I gave it to him free since, well, it’s an old game and I wasn’t using it anyways.

One of these days, I need to stop in there and play a game or two with those guys. Take a few pics and see how well I fare against ‘em.
