Before I left home, my parents made sure to give me some packets of Ramen. It’s considered a lucky thing to eat noodles on your birthday, as it’s supposed to represent longevity. Exactly why, I’m not sure. The same thing goes for New Year’s.
I just got back into town a few hours ago, and folks are gathering around 7:00 for pizza and beer. It was now or never, so I threw down some noodles. Mmmm… lucky pork.
