Went home to visit some relative who were in town, along with my grandma. A fairly relaxing time… I hung out at my uncle and aunt’s house (Benny and Vicky), where they served up dinner for all of us. I had three additioanal aunts, two uncles, and two cousins (Alison and David) visiting as well.

I helped out my cousin Michael with some Flash (quite advanced for someone so young), talking to him over the phone. He called up and we went through a brief exercise in easing and alpha settings, me talking him through stuff. That was pretty fun. :)

Most of us were all back at my parents’ house by 11 PM. I ended up talking with my parents and my aunt Dawn until about 1:30 AM.

I did some documentation w/ the camera inside the house. But it’s late now, and I’ll probably update things tomorrow. Lots of nostalgia and plenty of crap that you will no doubt use to make fun of me. Check tomorrow – I promise it’ll be worth a chuckle or two.

I had a blast hanging out with my cousins Alison and David. Even though they’re young, they have a sense of humor that strikes me as older than their years. I made fun of Alison’s stuffed moose, whose name I discovered was "Moose." I then taunted her for not coming up with a better name. Today, David suggested "Steve," which stuck for a few hours. But by the end of the day, "Steve" got dropped and the moose became just plain old "Moose" again.

We spent some time watching cartoons this afternoon, and we all really got into the Tom and Jerry ones we saw. Best quotations during the Tom and Jerry episodes:

Why do they always hang out in construction sites?

Why would anyone put all that dynamite in the dark, in the sewer?

hehehehe :)

As I was about to leave, I heard that David had lost his glasses. I should mention that the house we were at (my Aunt Vicky and Uncle Benny’s house) is on a made-made lake. Every house they’ve had, they’ve been near water, so when I think of them, I think lake. Anyhow – Alison and David were hanging around on the dock. They were on a small part of the dock that was tied down w/ rope, but had the ability to float about 15 feet out from shore. At some point, they started fighting and Alison whacked David in the face. His glasses flew off and dropped into the water.

For the next hour, a bunch of us were down there dragging random areas with a bunch of rakes and a crudley fashioned hook device, made from a coat hanger, tape, and a big pole. David and Alison couldn’t agree on where, exactly, the glasses had gone into the water. And even though it was about 5 feet deep where we were looking, the water was muddy and it was too wide an area to really be able to search. I thought about getting a pair of goggles and just jumping in, but no one was able to isolate a good enough area.

A pretty fun way to end the weekend. Even though we couldn’t find David’s glasses. :)
