Nerd++

So my glasses broke. And, seeing how I tried taking apart several electronic objects around the apartment to find a replacement screw (with no luck), I ended up having to tape the damn thing so I could see.

Made my way to a place that I thought had an eye glasses store, hoping they could fix things for me. The whole time I was getting there, I felt incredibly nerdy, and felt like everyone was doing a double-take when they walked by me. Add to that the fact that I could always see the tape, and I just felt like I was part of Nerds On Parade.

Right around here is where I freak out, and start to worry. Thankfully, I tracked down another place a few blocks away, and they were able to fix my glasses, right as rain. Let me tell you – for someone who’s completely paralyzed without their spectacles, having a pair of broken glasses sucks. After I got them fixed, I felt like I was complete, and a fully functional person once again.

On my way out here, I took a cab. But after I arrived, I realized how close it was an decided to walk home instead. On the way, I stopped off at a Chipotle, and got a burrito for lunch. I think it’s partly due to the fact that Chipotle made the FSA recently, that made me want to go there for food. Their site has been the same for a year or so now, but I still think it’s pretty darn nifty.
