Woozy

All day today, I’ve been feeling pretty fuzzy and a few steps behind. And it looks like this weekend’s going to be more of the same – lots of activities, and a fair amount of booze on the menu.

But – as badly as I felt this morning, my hurting PALED in comparison to what Ben and Justin experienced. They were both away in Phoenix on a business trip, and ended up hanging out with a large group of our company’s sales staff. The bender that they went on two nights ago was pretty damn amazing, the way Ben described it this morning. hahahahah MAN, I wish I could’ve been there to take pictures and video!

I left to go get some water and, when I walked back into the room… I caught the second half of a sentence, where Ben was describing the night to Jill. What I heard was "… piñata on his head, at one point."

Like Justin, I have only fragments of the evening to share. Apparently, they were all out drinking for a good part of the day. Keep in mind that Phoenix this week was in the neighborhood of 110° F (and I don’t think it dipped below 100). They blew through Rob’s (a Sales guy from Q101) minibar in his room… and were all lounging by the hotel pool.

Ok. This is probably my favorite little story of theirs: Justin, at one point, had one of those mini-bottles of whiskey in his mouth. He then did a backflip into the pool. And surfaced, with the bottle emptied and still hanging from his mouth. Awesome!

There was clothing lost, hotel staff took polaroids of "damaged property," and there were unexplained bruises/cuts. I believe the piñata was from when Justin stumbled into some sort of storage area, and found a ton of crap just lying around. He wasn’t really sure where it came from.

My favorite quotation, out of all the stories I heard, was one that came from a hotel staff member. Something like "Well, we’re not going to write up the piñata. Piñatas are meant to be broken."
