A Good Run

It was nice while it lasted.

Today, I had to run back home during lunch and dig for more money (took my car into the shop yesterday). Despite my best efforts at ignoring the crunching, grinding sound whenever I’d turn the wheel, my car has failed to magically fix itself. Stupid automobiles. Alignment was fucked up, among other things. I could turn my steering wheel a solid 25 degrees in either direction, with little change in the overall position of the tires. Yikes. And I drove home to Indianapolis on this thing.

Total repairs measured up to a little under $500. And I have nowhere near that, anyhwere. So… I went digging. I had a credit card that had been sitting in my files for (at least) six months – one that I hadn’t activated yet. Luckily, once I called the thing in, it worked. Charged the repairs and, while my car feels and handles like a charm, I’m officially back in the world of debt.

While there tend to be fancy, expensive things everywhere in this world, I don’t want to stick around for very long.
