Katie stopped in to the Interactive area, and announced we were all going to lunch together. We are a hard group to motivate/move, but we all ended up at Portillo’s and having a nice, relaxing meal together. Today is technically Katie’s last day, although she may still be around the Q101 offices off and on this week.
A lot of our interns, are leaving soon. While nothing technically will change at work, it already feels like a lot of energy is leaving with them. Summer is a busy time for radio, and anymore it feels like things are winding down, stretching and yawning and preparing for fall. Katie will be working as an intern for the Mix, but hopes to return to Q101 come this winter. I hope we get to see Katie, even after she stops officially working for the station. I feel like I just got to talk to her and hang out, right as she was leaving.
