After a lot of mucking around, I finally got Black & White running on my computer. I bought this game a while ago, after seeing it on the shelves for $12. I had heard good things about it a few years back, and figured what the hey. Apparently, the game doesn’t play all that well with XP, and I had to go hunting around for a long time trying to find some sort of fix (couldn’t even get the game to run properly). After a lot of digging, I found the 1.2 patch and everything seemed to work great after that.
For those of you old-schoolers who remember a game called Populous, the premise is somewhat similar. Lots of little sims that you try to get to worship you. There’s a definite god thing going on, and I’ve just started to discover some of the various choices/decisions you can make in the game.
This I thought was hysterical. I helped some villagers build a big ship (gathered wood for them, gave them grain and cattle). When the thing finally set sail, I grabbed a screencap as it went by.
