Yesterday, Ben and I were at Au Bon Pain getting lunch (typically, it’s just a bowl of soup). Everyone seemed to be gathered about the Tomato Bisque, a new addition to the soup options. We both got a bowl, and started thinking how nice it would be to have a grilled cheese sandwich as well. Our minds started to wander, trying to figure out where we could find bread and cheese…
and then we thought of Artisan, the wine/cheese/coffee shop across the way. We’re regalar patrons there, and in addition to their fine wares… they make some pretty incredible sandwiches. We went over and asked Daniel if he could make us a grilled cheese sandwich. Slumming it, basically. He was nice enough to oblige, under the condition that we weren’t going to make this type of request a habit.
