The mail issues I had yesterday got resolved, thanks to polymorph. Turns out, Flash only sends out variables from the timeline where you’re issuing the command. In order for me to allow users to use the <Tab> key, and move from text field to text field… I ended up using a cheat that involved nesting each text field in its own movie clip, and utilizing an invisible button. Flash 6 has ways to accomodate tabbing, but I needed a workaround for Flash 5.
Despite all my attempts, turns out I was pointing to the wrong timeline.
Doh.
