So I get home, and get my mail. Funny – there’s this strange card in an envelope. Not something I expected. Too late for my birthday, too early for Christmas. I go inside.
When I open the envvelope (trying to figure out who sent me what) I pull out a card. I open the card, and two checks slide into my palm.
One check is a $100 Gift Certificate from Quimby’s bookstore.
The other check is for $80, and the card instructs me to spend it at Café Iberico.
Most people have separate heart and love lines on their palms. Felix has one big line that spans the width of his entire right palm. He's told that this is "lucky."
As a kid, Felix starred in a television commercial for a toy called "Linkits." He's never seen the toy beyond that day, but can still hear the theme song in his head.
On July 13th, 2002, Felix nearly killed himself when he put a Tombstone pizza in the oven and then promptly fell asleep on the couch for the remainder of the night. He almost won a Darwin Award.
