Car Swap, Car Chase

Justin borrowed my car last night, and he stopped by to drop it off. I went outside to wait for him, and decided to snap some picture of the neighborhood in the meanwhile. When Justin showed up, I hopped in the passenger side and we made our way back to his apartment (so we could drop him off). I had my window rolled down for part of the ride, and was trying to get snapshots of random people on the sidewalk.

One funny story: after I dropped Justin off, I slowly made my way down his street toward Division. My tires kept on slipping, so I had a lot of slow starts and stops. When I finally got to Division, about a block and a half, two blocks from Justin’s apartment, I turned the corner and heard this huge *THUMP* on the back of my car. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Justin’s body, flailing against my window.

Turns out, he had put my car key on his keychain… and left it in the ignition. I had dropped him off, but he had no way of getting inside his apartment.

He had been chasing me down the street the whole time, him trying to get my attention, me slowly slipping and sliding out of reach. He said that he always got just within a foot or so before I’d pull away again.
