Man, it’s been a long while since I’ve been bitten by the experiment bug. And actually, it’s been a long while since I’ve really worked with Flash/Actionscript. So this weekend felt pretty darn good. :)
So here’s what I’ve got: my attempt at type illustration.
A few things to mention, at the start here. First, I was really taken by what I saw over at ni9e.com. After watching their awesome animations, I began to wonder just how, exactly, they were able to use text to create an actual image. And a few of them, quite frankly, baffle me still as to how they were made.
Also, big thanks to Dave Fischoff, who was kind enough to let me use one of his songs, (A Nap at Truthtime, Some Magic Slips Away). If you find fault with this experiment, the fault would be from my contribution.
Finally – the image that I’m using is one that I took sometime last year. I’m not using an easily recognizeable photograph, so apologies if what I’m trying to draw isn’t very clear. While I was listening to Dave’s song, I looked through all my images looking for what I thought might fit.
