Ben has been going crazy trying to figure out the name of a particular song. Hementioned it to Justin, and Justin knew the tune… but was also unable to come up with either the song title or artist.
It’s an early 80′s song, instrumental, and Ben associates it with thelimbo portion of the night at a roller skating rink.
Justin seems to be the king of knowing these types of un-nameable songs. I went nutty trying to track down a song some years back and, whileJustin could sing the tune with me… he could come up with nothing that helped me track it down. The song was, incidentally, “Pick up the Pieces”by Average White Band.
But that’s my story, and not what’s at hand here. Please help my coworkers with the name of this tune. See below for the video and, ifyou know what this is… contact me! :)
Just in case you haven’t figured out the name yet, it’s “Popcorn”, recorded by the band “Hot Butter”, and was the world’s first — and by world’s first I mean first in the U.S. — fully electronic song.Chris
