I spent most of today working on work stuff.
There’s a promotion being launched tomorrow morning. Giveaway stuff. I made a dynamic photo gallery in Flash to showcase all the items. Six areas, with up to nine photos per area. The whole thing’s XML-based, Flash 6, uses jpgs, and anyone else can modify the thing. In addition to thumbnails and regular images, it also allows for sponsor images and links to a sponsor’s home page.
The kicker is that I already know there aren’t that many images. In fact, there are several sections where I had to make placeholder “Check back soon” images because there simply haven’t been any images given to me yet.
So I’ve spent my entire day today setting up a dynamic photo gallery that can encompass up to 54 individual images, sponsors and links. And when this thing launches, it’ll have 7 images and 2 sponsor images. And of those 7 images… one is a repeat.
I’m planning on taking a day off next week. Possibly two. Right now, I’m sitting here wondering why in the fuck I keep working at this pace.
The sun was shining today. It looked like it was a nice day outside.
