This image is courtesy Kent, who spotted it on our walk to lunch. I ended up coming back to this spot later on in the day, and I’m still not entirely happy with the shot. There was some serious wind kicking around (I ended up clinging to a nearby stairwell, worried I’d get bowled over at one point). So holding the camera steady was a bit of a feat.
Still, I liked this a great deal. Everything else in the name has been removed, but what remains is a nice bit of encouragement.
Most people have separate heart and love lines on their palms. Felix has one big line that spans the width of his entire right palm. He's told that this is "lucky."
As a kid, Felix starred in a television commercial for a toy called "Linkits." He's never seen the toy beyond that day, but can still hear the theme song in his head.
On July 13th, 2002, Felix nearly killed himself when he put a Tombstone pizza in the oven and then promptly fell asleep on the couch for the remainder of the night. He almost won a Darwin Award.
