Subject: Strong HouseHey there Felix,
Just doing a bit of catching up with your blog, and I wanted to chime in on the “strong house.” I recently moved out of the townhouse in the background of the 12/10/04 pic. We called the strong house the “garbage house,” as the entire structure was filled with junk.
In between beer runs, the resident spent his days walking the alleys in search of treasures unknown. His dictator-like domination of the alley trash cans was legendary, as was the size of his beer gut. Prior to the demolition of the house, it took over four months of purging to empty the structure.
He was best known to me, though, as the man who uttered “hey, man … I saw people taking stuff from your garage all day .. the door was wide open every time I walked by.”
Thanks for the help, neighbor. Now you know the rest of the story.
Happy Holidays!
Rocky
