Signs of Spring

I didn’t notice it until today, but there are small clovers (at least that’s what I think they are) growing up between the individual bricks that make up my walkway.

I’m always amazed at some of the inventive ways in which plants and vegetation work around any obstacles. Rather than be stifled, they always seem as though everything else on the planet were merely in their way.

En route to the neighborhood store for some milk, I spotted this on the sidewalk. A nearby van was positioned in such a way that the setting sun glanced off a sideview mirror, and made this spotlight. I took this photo while walking there and, on walking home… the angle had changed. It’s not that this picture is all that particularly captivating, but in retrospect – it makes me think of temporality, and how a particular moment can seen more meaningful seemingly unexpectedly.

The sun has a lot to do with it, I think.
