And guess what? Next weekend, I’m hopping on board an Amtrak and heading to Carbondale for a few days. Going to go hang with Abbey, an old college friend of mine from way back in the Bloomington days. She’s throwing some sort of Shakespeare Midsummer Night’s Dream party, and I’m going down to party it up with grad students. Rumor has it there will be costumes.
Abbey and I haven’t seen one another in about, oh, almost ten years now. I’m looking forward to a lot of stories, and a lot of catching up on the paths we’ve taken since college. Should be a blast – can’t wait.
