Kent is in town this week on business, and Stu arrived today (he’s shooting the upcoming Third Coast Festival). Tomorrow, I believe that Alex arrives as well. It’s like a mini-reunion!
Tonight, we hung out at Justin’s for a bit, sipping on Margaritas. Then, we headed out to Rodan for a late dinner.

Lots of appetizers, and quite good food overall. I was actually surprised they served food here – I assumed it was just a bar, and had no idea they had such a fancy menu.

It’s weird, being in Rodan again. I’ve only ever been in here once, and that was when I met up with Alicia, earlier in the year. I caught myself thinking about her off and on tonight. I wonder if, lately, I’m just thinking too much about death.

Along Milwaukee Ave, Stu spots a random store that sells a wide assortment of religious figurines. Every paused for a good while, looking in and trying to identify all the various patron saints and deities.

Jesus Christ on one side…

Buddha on the other…
In a creepy way, it looked like all the figurines were sitting in bleachers, waiting for some sort of terrible religious Thunderdome to take place, on the floor between them. I bet that’d be one hell of a fight.
