At long last! I’ve won back the coveted Lord and Master Stein™. Finally, it’s back where it belongs! 
Today, I went in to work circa 2PM. While I had the day off, today was a half-day at work (another great thing about my company – they give us half-days before every major holiday). Since everyone was officially done at 2, we decided on playing a game of Texas Holdem. It’s hard for everyone to get together for a game, what with the varying schedules. So today worked out well, as everyone was in the same place at the same time.
At the table were me, Mike, Ben, Chris, Jane and Kashif. The game took us until about 4PM to finish, and I was the lucky one who emerged on top. Several good hands (and several lucky ones). I got up early in the game, and was able to push everyone else around since I had the larger stack. I wasn’t overly aggressive (which isn’t how I normally play), but I was able to play a bit more aggressively since I had the chips to burn.
Fun stuff – it’s been ages since we’ve had a full-on game like this, and even longer since I placed. It’s a nice ego boost to start off the holidays.
