I saw this link yesterday, and was completely floored by the effect. Missing Pages is a 24 minute short film shot entirely using a digital camera. In the same vein as La Jetée, this short does a remarkable amount with still images.
The movie itself is pretty huge (about 60 MB total), but SO, SO worth it. Load it up and go do something else for a while. Like me, when you watch this short… you’ll likely write to the author, asking pleading to see the remaining 17 minutes.
Felix's Chinese name is Wei Tien. For the longest time, he thought his name meant "very sky." But he later found out it roughly translated to "Preserver of Heaven."
Felix was in show choir in high school. He can still pull out the old "jazz hands" if need be, due in no small part to muscle memory.
Every once in a while, Felix has some interesting run-ins with other Asians. At times, they're armed with cameras; at other times, he has the slight feeling that they might be armed, period.
