Post-Work Poker

We didn’t have a ton of folks playing tonight, but we did manage to get a few people together for a game after work. Tonight, we got AJ (from Marketing/Promotions) to join in the fun.

It should be noted that, over a year ago, AJ was the one who helped a bunch of us see Queensrÿche (both the VIP acoustic show as well as the concert proper).

Me (trying to hold my poker face) and AJ. I think it’s safe to say that everyone enjoyed her company tonight, and we look forward to having her back for future games.

Behold, your new Lord and Master!

I played really well tonight, overall. I was fairly consistent from the get-go, and felt pretty balanced in terms of the frequency of my bluffs. I’d push when I was in a position to do so and, while it didn’t work every single time, it worked enough to where I kept building my chip stack. Tonight breaks a pretty lengthy losing streak, and I have to say – it felt damn good.
