Good progress this weekend. I may have arrived on a logo concept I’m happy with, and got some work done with laying out the GUI. I also made a rough stab at the XML (which needs to get fine-tuned), and have started to wire up things a bit.
Before I get too far (I’m really pretty excited, and I want to code as much as possible)… I need to step back and plan this thing out. Paper. Pencil. Psuedo-code. Right now, my enthusiasm is driving things which, is good, but I think I’m diving in before really getting a true feel for what I need to get done.
Exciting as it is, I need to hold back a bit and assess.
Still – I’m really excited. I know I’m being vague, but I think this project should be a fun one. More updates as things progress.
Oh, and thanks to those folks who called in to test out the answering thingy. I got a few interesting calls: some Mac voices (telling me that I’m a sexy Asian), and a bit of rapping. The recordings are currently done in 3GPP format… so they’re super small, but not that great on quality. I’ll have to figure out a workaround to turn them into mp3 files.
