I got a call from Gretchen today, and it was quite the delightful surprise. I couldn’t hear her at first, because in the background there was a ton of noise.
Through all the chatter in the back (it sounded like a crowd), I heard her say “Felix?” And when I spoke up, she just asked if I could hear and then held her phone up in the air. Turns out, she was attending a show by José González in Central Park. And at the time that she called, he was playing “Heartbeats,” which I got to hear all the way through. How awesome is that?
