Went down to Frankfort this evening, for a birthday celebration for Liz’s stepdad, Bob. Lots of great food (as always), including some great steaks. Mmmmmm.
I had a blast hanging out with everyone, and laughed a good deal while talking with Dan and Darryl (Liz’s brother-in-laws). Dan was telling me about what he cites is the “best Christmas CD EVER,” with a title something like “Merry Clucking Christmas.” The whole thing is just some guy, making chicken sounds – and singing Christmas carols. An entire CD of this.
While the fast songs were funny (Dan was doing some impressions), the slow songs were what kept cracking me up. Imagine someone doing a chicken voice, but singing “Silent Night” in a very soft and dramatic way. I’ve been promised a copy, and as soon as I get it you can bet it’ll make its way on here.
