Wow, this takes me back. I remember playing the original video game on my Apple IIc. It’s vague, but I remember driving around trying to find ghosts, and trying to earn enough money to buy more equipment.
Now it sounds like they’re developing a new video game, based on the original movie. Check out some video of the gameplay.
Nerdy side note: in fourth or fifth grade, for Halloween one year I dressed up as Egon Spengler.

Most people have separate heart and love lines on their palms. Felix has one big line that spans the width of his entire right palm. He's told that this is "lucky."
As a kid, Felix starred in a television commercial for a toy called "Linkits." He's never seen the toy beyond that day, but can still hear the theme song in his head.
On July 13th, 2002, Felix nearly killed himself when he put a Tombstone pizza in the oven and then promptly fell asleep on the couch for the remainder of the night. He almost won a Darwin Award.
