Below is an email that I got from Justin a while back. I liked it so much, I asked him if I could post it on the blog… and he graciously said yes.
I’m sure you’ll agree with the sentiment that I expressed back to him, after receiving his message: “This email is useless without pics.”

Hi, Felix.
How’s the Chicago winter treating you? And whatever became of Liz’s scooters? I worry that I might have done more than cosmetic damage. Please write me and let me know the score…
I had a chance to rent a scooter in Hampi and it was so much fun. The roads weren’t insane like most of India, the scooter was fairly powerful, and no matter where I turned there was something great to see: ancient temples peppered among stunning rock formations; tranquil rivers; banana plantations; reflective rice paddies. I thought having a scooter in Chicago was fun, but this was something else. And all for only $3 a day, in high season!
Everything is great, aside from the fact that my wallet got stolen in Bangalore. I’m meeting many more tourists since I arrived in the South, especially Londoners. It’s a different kind of good time than my travels in the North. I’m taking less pictures and not using my Hindi, and time seems to be flying by.
I hope all’s well in your world. Give Liz a fraternal hug for me, eh?
Justin
P.S. I have a mohawk now.
