Met up with Justin and Dave after work for a few drinks over at Rodan.
There’s something to be said about having drinks while there’s still sunlight out. Tucked in a booth at the back of the bar… I snapped the photo (above) looking out onto Milwaukee.
The feel of drinking with daylight was something that struck me. It felt more indulgent, somehow. And a bit more like summer.
Felix's Chinese name is Wei Tien. For the longest time, he thought his name meant "very sky." But he later found out it roughly translated to "Preserver of Heaven."
Felix was in show choir in high school. He can still pull out the old "jazz hands" if need be, due in no small part to muscle memory.
Every once in a while, Felix has some interesting run-ins with other Asians. At times, they're armed with cameras; at other times, he has the slight feeling that they might be armed, period.
