Planning for the wedding question: anyone have any Chicago-based caterers they recommend? I’ve asked around at work, and posted a question over at MetaFilter and figured I’d also post here for kicks.
Right now, we’re closing in on Maxim’s for our reception. We’ll be bringing in our own alcohol, so the drinks side of things is a non-issue. We’ll need a bartender or two, but my primary search right now is to compile a list of potential (and recommended) caterers.
I don’t organize or attend a lot of big functions, so my experience with the caterers is pretty limited. If you’ve got someone you trust, or have worked with before (or just plain really like their food), by all means please let me know.
Again, we’re just starting our search so I’d love any and all suggestions.
ohhh maxim’s.. 2nd 2009 wedding i know that’s taking place there.Calihan is good. I know people who have gotten them for their wedding.. and we sampled around caterers for Google and chose them.. I’ve been to their facilities a couple times.. and their food is really great.. high quality, in season, local if possible, organic, etc.
