There’s this joke that Liz and I have, where if we feel something is one sided, or that one of us isn’t considering the other person’s feelings… we’ll say to one another:
“Where’s the Team? There’s no team here.”
This morning, as we were talking about the day… I found occassion to use the “team” line. But here’s how it actually went down:
Me: “Where’s the Team? There’s no team here.”
Liz: “It’s Team Liz!”
Me: “I don’t want to be on Team Liz.”
Liz: “But you’re the star player!”
Felix's Chinese name is Wei Tien. For the longest time, he thought his name meant "very sky." But he later found out it roughly translated to "Preserver of Heaven."
Felix was in show choir in high school. He can still pull out the old "jazz hands" if need be, due in no small part to muscle memory.
Every once in a while, Felix has some interesting run-ins with other Asians. At times, they're armed with cameras; at other times, he has the slight feeling that they might be armed, period.
