Photographer Peter Funch takes photos from the same location, and creates unique groupings of the people who he’s captured over time.
There are some pretty fascinating sets here, and make for an interesting way to view the world. This reminds me a lot of Harvey Keitel’s character, Auggie, from the movie Smoke:
Felix's Chinese name is Wei Tien. For the longest time, he thought his name meant "very sky." But he later found out it roughly translated to "Preserver of Heaven."
Felix was in show choir in high school. He can still pull out the old "jazz hands" if need be, due in no small part to muscle memory.
Every once in a while, Felix has some interesting run-ins with other Asians. At times, they're armed with cameras; at other times, he has the slight feeling that they might be armed, period.
