Tomorrow (Saturday), Liz takes her second and final Cumulative Exam for her Masters degree. She’s been hitting the books pretty hard for a while now, and this is one of those big, everything-you-learned-this-year kind of exams. It’s also one of those pass-or-you-don’t-graduate kind of exams.
She went through something similar last year. This year’s test is not an all-day thing, but still pretty stressful.
To see the kind of math she’s doing, check out this photo.
I know she’s planning to be at her desk all day, today. And I’m sure she would appreciate any kind words folks can throw her way, as she’s crunching away with her numbers.

Auto-tuned, key of C: Liz. I know you’ll do weeeeeeelllllll onyourtest. Youuuuuuuu are a champ-eeee-oooooooooon. Kick it. Flip it. Rock that teeeeeeeeeeeeesssssst. You got it girl, you are the beeeeeeeee-eeeyaaaaaaahhhhhh-eeeeeeeeessssst.
I have no comprehension whatsoever of what’s going on in those pages photos Felix linked, but it looks amazing, like a cryptic, powerful and rather magical language! Best of luck to you on your exam, Liz! I am sure you will do a smashing job. :-)
If anyone is curious…. the shot Felix has is the proof for the mean of the Poisson distribution.See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisson_distributionThis time I’m studying regression, sampling (design & analysis), and design of experiments. My brain is gonna bust soon. It’s been 8 hrs with a break for lunch (aka cereal and Bonanza), and I have another potential of 5 hrs cramming. Thanks for the kind works and song. :) I’m looking forward to Sunday and anytime after my test!
GOOD LUCK LIZ – It’ll be over before you know it, and then we can all look forward to you conquering the world with your mathiness!!!
Late to the party, but I hope the results are great for you all the same!
