Via BoingBoing, I came across this video of director Kevin Smith, giving a hilarious talk about his failed/doomed script attempt for Superman Lives.
I started it off thinking I’d just check out a few minutes of it (the thing is like 20 minutes long). After 5 minutes, I got sucked in and was just laughing my ass off the entire time.
Smith is a great storyteller, and on top of that… the story is exceptional, all on its own. But his style (pacing, repetition, delivery) is fantastic. Stand-up comedian fantastic.
It may seem like a long video, but once you start listening/watching, you won’t even notice. Hysterical stuff.
