We Got Time: Music Video Featuring Praxinoscopes

We Got Time is a music video for singer Moray McLaren, directed by David Wilson.

Amazingly, the effects from the video were all done without stopframe techniques or computer-enhanced graphics. The animations were all custom made, and the transition effects were achieved either through cutting between takes… or (and this is really cool) matching the camera’s frame rate to the frame rate of the spinning records.

Who knew the praxinoscope was this awesome?
