In January, I made a little ukelele post featuring a fun rendition of “Build Me Up, Buttercup” by a YouTube user named jaaaaaaa.
Turns out? Her name is Julia Nunes, and she’s done pretty well for herself. She’s played with Ben Folds, toured around a few spots in the UK, and is slated to perform at Bonnaroo.
I love seeing things work out well for folks, through YouTube. I guess it’s because there’s so much schadenfreude online, it’s nice to see something positive for a change.
