Hey, I Recognize That Photo of Octave Chanute!

On Gapers Block this AM, I noticed that the featured Rearview photo was by Dan Rybicky. When I saw it, I thought to myself “Hey, I recognize that guy. It’s Octave Chanute!”

Dan is someone I met through Justin, and he was kind enough to loan us use of his home in Gary, IN for my bachelor party.

The photo by Dan is at the Indiana Dunes – where a bunch of us walked and explored the area, one afternoon. As I was strolling with Alex, we came across Octave Chanute’s statue.

Seeing this photo was a nice memory trigger for me. What a great way to start off my Friday.
