No Longer New, But Officially Mine

Last Friday, I made my final payment on the car I bought in 2007.

Odd to think that I actually own my car now. It always felt like mine, but I guess now it’s the sense that it’s officially mine.

Coupled with the fact that I also paid off my credit card last week… things are looking pretty nice. At the end of 2009, moving in to a new year, it’s a good feeling to be feeling debt free.

  • HELLS YEAH

  • Congrats, Felix – I know it’s such a great feeling to truly own a car, especially when it’s a civic :)

  • congratulations! have you been following a particular system or advice on cutting down your debt?btw, car still looks arewsome! :D

  • Liz has been handling all the financials, so it’s a testament to her planning and budgeting. I’ve always been terrible about that sort of thing, and she’s set things up to where I feel we’re not being extravagent, staying comfortable, and still able to pay down lots of debt. And yeah, the car does look awesome in that photo… but that’s because it’s a shot from when it was new. It’s nice still, but definitely shows some wear and tear from 2+ years in the city.THE car? I misspoke. I meant MY car.
