Shari and Erin

When I talk to Shari, she’s decided on having an early dinner. Her flight leaves at 7, so we’re going to meet at 4 at Leona’s, in Rogers Park. I plod around the house for a while, and end up at Leona’s a bit early. After waiting a good long while (I was worried that I had the wrong place), Shari and Erin show up. Shari’s in town for a wedding, and Erin is another Chicago friend that she’s staying with.

I was afraid that my mood would show through, or somehow spoil the meal. But honestly, once we all settled in and started talking, I felt much much better. The food was really good (too much to eat in one sitting), and talking about our respective weekends was nice. Though it was quick (they had to make it back out to O’Hare), seeing Shari again was definitely a good thing, and I’m glad we got the chance to hang out.
