Poor Melissa! She left to catch her flight, and as it turns out – they canceled it. They scheduled her for a flight the next morning – and so she came back to crash for another night. While she was gone, I accidentally met up with my friend Mike – who was helping me get the AC up and running again in the apartment.
I feel that I was incredibly distant and not friendly when Melissa returned. I was continuing to struggle with the whole "alone" thing, and I’m afraid that may have affected how I talkative I was. It took me a while to relax, and happened a bit towards the end of the evening.
Around 7:00, Melissa and I headed to my friend Justin’s birthday party, at Takealeitlan (I don’t know how to spell it, and just wasted about 10 minutes searching Google). Sorry, no link.
Melissa and Christine, listening to one of Justin’s stories. Towards the end of the meal, we started talking about teeth (and broken/pulled teeth stories). I’m not sure why. But everyone was riveted and grossed out for a good hour.
The inside of Takaleitlan. Gorgeous and wide open, and with a HUGE ceiling. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, there’s a 5 or 6 piece mariachi band that plays next to the fountain.
Me and Stu in a silly moment, taking pictures of each other taking pictures of each other. The Flash seemed a bit much, so I stopped using it.
Accidental blurs. Mainly because I don’t know what I’m doing with this camera.
Victoria, Stu, Gretchen and Justin. And a table full of food that we all OWNED.
