I’m Getting Up, But Not Early
The alarm is set for 6 AM, with the hopes that I will go jogging. When I wake, blearily… I notice how dark the sky looks. I roll over and go back to sleep. Gifted child that I am, I smack the snooze for another hour. At 7 AM, I decide I must be driving my neighbors nuts, and turn off the alarm. Finally, I think to myself, I should get up and tr…. Around 8 AM, I wake up again and decide jogging is no longer in the picture. I need to finish up the CV, and send it off to Sandy, the professor at Alabama who set me up with the Visiting Writer position. Water. Stove. Coffee. Shuffle. Toothpaste. Toothbrush. Water. Check were-here and read a few threads.
The day is looking to be fairly crappy. Alex and I were supposed to talk about doing some photography stuff today, but I’m wondering how practical that thought is, given the weather. Keep in mind this is 9 AM:
To top things off, I haven’t yet gotten a poem in shape for Matt. I’ve got a lot to do today, before evening comes. How silly is it, now that I’m unemployed, to not be able to find enough time to do all I want to do?
