Like "Annie." But With Less Orphans.

I’ve been working downtown since last October. Each day, I cross the Chicago River and walk across a bridge that shakes whenever a train goes by. Even now, after months of doing this, I still get a little nervous when the ground starts to shake.

Based on the seams in the walkway, I’ve known that the street doubles as a bridge and literally rises up, split in half. Today, Ben and Justin called me over to the window, and let me know one of the bridges was being raised. It turned out to be a test, but I went down anyway to shoot a few photos.

How cool is this? :)
