Frustrated

I’ve been working on setting up a customized page for one of our stations in LA. Basic request – they wanted to get rid of the right modules (the right column), and extend the area that holds the center receptacles. I’ve been working on trying to tweak things for over an hour, and all I’ve gotten so far is frustrated….

100%

This is a little something from twelvestone, prior to the weekend. Take the Jung-Typology Personality Test Yup. Alright. After taking it again, here’s my score: Introverted: 100% Intuitive: 33% Feeling: 33% Perceiving: 22% After taking this thing again, the other scores fluctuated. But the introveted score stayed at 100%. Go figure.

I Blame WOT

Before I left for home, my parents gave me a spare DVD player they had. After I got back into Chicago, I stopped into the local Best Buy and picked up a copy of Family Guy, Season 2. Freakin’ hilarious. Needless to say, I got little done this weekend. I’ve fallen back into the habit of curling up onto my…

Thanksgiving: Chinese American Style

Dinner was fucking awesome. After the park, I stopped by my sister’s house (her HOUSE!), and got to see her new digs. We had a big gathering at the restaurant, and a ton of food all around. Of course, the restaurant was open… but after we closed (around 8:00 PM), we had two big tables of food. There were two…

A Walk With My Parents: Eagle Creek Park

For most of the walk, I kept asking them to wait as I took pictures of random things. Right at the start, I saw a sundial that I thought was pretty cool. Unfortunately, I was hoping there would be some sort of inscription… but no luck. Still, neat. Here’s the view from the start of our walk. Before we get…

By Now

I’m home in Indianapolis. Or on my way there. Nothing big planned, family-wise. We’re all going to eat together, and my parents are most likely working to some degree. It’s always been like this, as long as I can remember: my parents working on Thanksgiving. We always have dinner together, but typically… they’re off during the day, tending to the…

10:22 AM

And I’m eating a Corned Beef sandwich, with Swiss Cheese, on Rye bread. A coworker brought in a ton of this stuff from a favorite restaurant of his, just as a nice gesture. And it’s fantastic. Everyone in the office today converged on the kitchen, and made a sandwich (or two). Corned Beef, 10 AM. My coffee’s still untouched by…

Blah

Sorry. I haven’t been in much of a mood this past week. Hell, maybe even these past two weeks. Work has been chugging along, and I’ve been back and forth. Lately, it’s hard for me to tell if I’m being really social or if I’m being really reclusive. It feels like a mix. I guess that’s a good sign. Work…

Jerusalem

by Yehuda Amichai On a roof in the Old City laundry hanging in the late afternoon sunlight: the white sheet of a woman who is my enemy, the towel of a man who is my enemy, to wipe off the sweat of his brow. In the sky of the Old City a kite. At the other end of the string,…

Hmm.

Many hours later, as I’m writing this and trying to get my life updated on the blog… I’m looking at the television with a more critical eye. I notice that the brand name is Advent. I wonder if this was intentional. I’ll have to talk to Ben tomorrow on this one. :)

Setting Up

I got the television set up, and now my living room actually feels complete again. I replaced my futon cover with one that I had purchased several weeks back, and it’s like a whole new room. I don’t have an antennae, so I’ll have to pick one up tomorrow at Radio Shack. I ended up trying to play a few…

Dinner At Nola’s

Oh my word. Ben and I walked over to Nola’s, and waited around for Justin, Kent, Christine, and Stu. We chatted a while and, slowly, over the course of 15 minutes, everyone trickled in. Justin and Ben both had never had oysters, but they ended up trying one for the first time tonight. Ben tried a few, then had to…

Discovery

As we make our way outside, we walk onto my porch, I lock my door, and turn to leave. Ben says "Your door’s open," and when I go to check… he’s right. My door is slightly ajar, and he tells me this is exactly how he found it, when he walked up. As it turns out, the lock that I…
