Thanksgiving: Chinese American Style

Dinner was fucking awesome. After the park, I stopped by my sister’s house (her HOUSE!), and got to see her new digs. We had a big gathering at the restaurant, and a ton of food all around. Of course, the restaurant was open… but after we closed (around 8:00 PM), we had two big tables of food. There were two turkeys, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. But in addition to that, we also had some Chinese Sour Soup, noodles, and rice.

Overall, it was quite the mixed meal, so it felt very Chinese American. A lot of the people in attendance had never had an actual American Thanksgiving, so turkey and all that was a bit foreign to them.

A ton of food. Three kinds of pie, glazed sweet potatoes, and some "mud pudding" that my sister and Shane brought.

There was a lot of talking, a lot of food, and a lot of people saying "I’m so full" in several languages.
