Talking on IM

Ended up talking a while tonight with Clare (who I first met at Alex and Linda’s wedding). Fun conversations, and we got caught up a bit. Halfway through our talking, another IM window opened up, and I met one of Clare’s friends, Albie. She and I talked for a while (books, blogging and Monty Python). It was fun chatting with both of them, as often there was a lot of talking about the other person, behind that person’s back.

Ooh, and I got an invite from Clare to some fancy New Year’s Eve party. Turns out a friend of hers has a room at the Hyatt Regency in downtown LA, which will be overlooking Giant Village 2005. A very tempting offer (and just imagine some of the pictures I’d be able to get!). I think that there’s a pre-party at around 9PM and a post-party starting at around 3AM? The phrase that came to mind was “unadulterated boozing.”

Hmm. Maybe I should check out fares to LA?
