Photoshoot

At work, from time to time, we end up grabbing a digital camera and going on a photoshoot. We mostly know what we’re doing, and it ends up being a lot cheaper than hiring a photographer or buying stock. In order to get the images we need for our projects, we end up shooting our own.

Currently, we’re working on creating a new “Career” section, on all of our sites across the Emmis network. One of the new features in this section will be an “Interview Simulator.” So far, we’ve gotten a fair number of coworkers to pose for photos. The final product will showcase everyone posing as bosses, in a sort of exaggerated bobbe-head-like manner. So we were looking for a combination of torso and head shots.

For Ben (above), we were going to superimpose his head on someone else’s torso. For me, they were going to take both torso and head shots. Notice my half-suit, behind Benin the photo above.

To top it off, Ben decided he would look more managerial if he only sported a moustache. And so… he shaved off part of the goatee today at work.

Now I don’t know about you, but THAT’s what I call dedication to the job. I’m going to argue that Ben’s joined a very small and elite club wherein its members have shaved themselves for the betterment of their company. I tip my hat to you, sir!

Ben, post-shave. That moustache is large and IN CHARGE!

Here’s me, in my half-suit trying to look semi-managerial. While I donned a suit (sorta) and tied back the hair into a ponytail… I still felt a little too scruffy to be considered middle management. I wasn’t terribly happy with my photos, but oh well. It’s not like I was posing for glamour shots or anything.

I’ll make sure to post the Career section (and the Interview Simulator) once it goes live. I’m sure you’ll get a chuckle out of it.
