Audioplayer Updated
I think I’m trying to get better about updating that audioplayer (on the right). Too often, I let the same songs sit there for a month or more. Tonight, after discovering I am Robot and Proud, I decided it was time for another update.
The Bells, by Dave Fischoff.
More than a year ago, I mentioned this simple, haunting song by my friend Dave Fischoff. This particular song was one that Dave created, using “found audio” that was given to him.
This track was originally a project for Found Magazine. And in talking with Dave, I learned that the voice you hear is unmodified – all he did was add the music around the singing (and repeated the full audio so that it was song-length).
Green Grass of Tunnel, by Múm
This has been one of my favorite songs for… well, for as long as I’ve known about Múm. In digging over my archives, I mention this group a lot. And it only seems right that I post links to the two shows I’ve seen (August 22, 2003 and June 26, 2004).
This is weird, but I know the exact day that I heard Múm for the first time. This was back in 2002, when Justin, Ben and I were transferring a massive amount of files for work. After a big morning (and some mishaps), I remember Ben wanting to take a brief nap on Justin’s couch. To help him nap, Justin threw on some tracks by Múm.
Learn from Mistakes, by I am Robot and Proud
I just happened across this guy tonight, and wanted folks to hear one of his tracks. If you like it, check out his website – there are a few more mp3’s available there.
