Everyone, meet fozzie

Really, the only way to top off a lunch at Hot Doug’s is to go and play a little poker. The three of us set up in Chris’ kitchen. There, Will and I got to meet Fozzie, Chris and Leslie’s new cat, for the first time.

Fozzie is incredibly laid back and, once he gets to know you, very affectionate. And he’s even the sort of cat who will play “fetch” with a piece of wadded up paper, and bring it back for you to throw over and over again.
We ended up playing two full games, and blew most of the afternoon shuffling and trading chips. I won the first game and Chris ended up taking the second. I liked the way I played in the first game; I’m less happy with my decisions for the second game. I think I went on tilt after losing a big hand to Will, and ended up trying to bluff on an all-in against Chris.
On the whole, I’ve been playing better lately – which is great. What I need to work on though is consistency. I’d like to play well over the course of multiple games, and not just have a win some lose some approach.
